America’s Enemies!
There are four entities who represent the most dangerous enemies to American liberties since George III.
They are:
1. The Neocons or Likudists who owe their personal allegiance to another country and now completely control our foreign policy. They lied and deceived us into the Iraq war and are demanding that more and more American soldiers die to preserve their own country and ideals.
2. The Christian Evangelical right who is trying to force the United States into becoming a theocracy under their rule. They know in their hearts that they alone can restructure a secular humanist America into their idea of Heaven on Earth.
3. An element of American society that call themselves Patriots and are obsessively militaristic and great admirers of the corporate or fascistic state. Many of these have been very minor members of the American military and as a counterbalance to their reserve or rear area tours of duty, are rabidly in favor of draconian military action, the bloodier the better. Usually these drumbeaters are too old, or too fat, to fight and have no sons of draft age.
4. George W. Bush, who is the worst president in the history of the United States and directly responsible for the huge death tolls in Iraq, is determined to rule the United States until God puts a stop to him and is even more determined to force the American people into becoming obedient, Christian and self-sacrificing lemmings who worship at his shrine and march in step.

The Voice of the White House
June 1, 2006: “Memorial Day usually marks the beginning of America’s summer vacation season but this year is not like any other. Gas prices are soaring at the pump because the actions of the Bush people have, directly and indirectly, forced the price of imported oil into an upward spiral from which it will not come down. Hotels, eating establishments, air lines, amusement parks, and their interconnected businesses are starting to hurt very badly. Hotels are offering rebates to guests who drive but their occupancy rates are still starting a long, downward slide. We can attribute some of this to the oil companies who are making obscene profits and the balance to the Bush administration whose insane policies have led directly to this serious economic crisis.
You might be overjoyed to lean that Bush has now called on Americans to conserve gasoline by doing less driving, because of the current increase in imported oil which is now inching upwards from $75. a barrel of crude. This is being reflected in the nation’s pump prices which now are over $3.00 a gallon and in some states, over $3.50. Initial views that this jump in price, which has allowed major American oil companies to reap billions of dollars in profits, was only a “fluke” and would soon come down, just in time for the peak summer vacation travel season. This has not happened and the industry now believes that, “given the present state of the market, we can expect retail prices of between $4 to $5 a gallon.”. Bush also issued a directive for federal agencies to reduce energy consumption, urging employees to share cars or use public transport!
Bush has said that it was up to all Americans to "pitch in" by being better conservers of energy
“If it makes sense for the citizen out there to curtail non-essential travel, it darn sure makes sense for federal employees ... We can encourage employees to car pool or use mass transit, and we can shift peak electricity use to off-peak hours. There's ways for the federal government to lead when it comes to conservation," he said.
Typically, our Beloved Christian President says one thing but does another. Note that Bush's motorcade, which typically has dozens of motorcycle outriders, several gas-guzzling vans, SUVs, Bush's heavy, armor-plated limousine, and an identical limo put in as a decoy, sucks up an enormous amount of gas. Fuel consumption is even higher on Bush's cross-country travels - which include flights on Air Force One as well as helicopters for the president, his staff, secret service agents, and the press corps that accompanies him. The air force recently estimated fuel costs for Air Force One at $8,219 per hour. Bush was also said to be reminding his staff to turn off lights! One of my co-workers read this and asked me if that was the reason Bush turned off the lights in his Oval Office lavatory when he and Jeff Gannon were practicing Hide-the Zucchini last year. Probably.
Hopefully, Fitzgerald will do the right, Christian, thing and bust Fat Karl the Eunuch in the near future and with that evil toad out of the White House, most of his sly innuendos, threats of blackmail and general viciousness will fade away, leaving a whimpering Bush weeping over the loss of his beloved Turd Blossom. (That, by God, is really Bush’s fitting nickname for Rove!)
Why not stay at home this year? So many are going to (but not out of choice) and the NYT reports that people are having to sell their vacation homes because it costs too much to drive to them. All across America, I can see millions of happy Americans, sitting in darkness (because of rolling power shutoffs due to oil shortages) but with candles lit in front of a picture of the President. They are drawing spiritual warmth from his kindly, Christian countenance and, because the dollar has tanked, warming their hands over a fire made with worthless dollar bills. Have a happy vacation, friends, and remember all of this misery, and who is responsible for it, in November.”
Controlling the News
New York, May 31, 2006: “We occasionally take a national poll on subjects of general interest. Of course these polls are run through a private firm working for us on contract and from time to time, when we are covering a sensitive subject, the pollsters are politely informed as to what to find and what not to find. In this case, the polls showing the collapse of public confidence in Bush, the Iraq bloodbath, the honesty and effectiveness of the Republicans in Congress, are considered “sensitive issues,” and it is generally agreed that we will be kind.
It is pretty obvious that Bush’s ratings are going down, down, down in the elevator of history but we are asked not to be too pointed in this. The Administration’s argument? If we were to show Bush dropping to a 10% approval, even if we were in error (a printing mistake for example) the public would read this and the real results would be even worse. So, let us say, all accurate polls show Bush at 28% – 26%, we would show him at 31%-30%. If we showed him, as CNN loved to do, have him at 45% when he actually is at 28%, our creditability would tank the same way. There are times when we are caught between the truth and the usual lies.
The killings in Iraq are a case in point. Both the White House and the Pentagon want this to go quietly away. The usual method to accomplish this is to have some general, medals and all, announce that the matter was being investigated and if something bad happened, why of course those who were bad would be punished. Those who were bad are never officers, only a “small number of confused soldiers” who would be given a friendly, press-free court martial and given modest sentences.
However, the Marine Corps had a case last year in which giggling jarheads deliberately shot a wounded man to death. There were pictures of this ugliness but in the end, the Marines responsible were completely acquitted. The photographs may not have lied but the Marine Corps Justice system certainly did..
Our fellow journalists in France and Britain know all about these periodic slaughters of unarmed and innocent civilians, mostly by U.S. Marines, but somehow our media is looking elsewhere.
Note if you will that the recent stories about the murder of Iraqi women and children in November of last year were suddenly eclipsed in the news by the blowing up of three U.S. reporters by the evil Iraqis. There will be endless and pathetic stories about the poor reporters, their children, their hopes and aspirations and just maybe, the public will have its attention diverted. Then, ten months later when all eyes are elsewhere, it will be solemnly announced by the Department of Defense that the Marines were all acquitted because it was proven that a two year old baby, that had been shot in the head 17 times, had pointed a Russian-made rocket launcher at a brave Marine who, as we all know, was defending not only the United States against terrorism but also aiding the loyal and loving Iraqi people to achieve the freedom they have been longing for and now, under Bush, have found.
Sometimes, working for the media is like working in a sewer in the heat of summer. A lot of the lies, like the sewage shit, stick to the shoes.”
Comment: The shooting of unarmed women, children and cripples is not an act of bravery but an act of complete cowardice, born of bad training, bad discipline and very low intellect. BH
The Green Zone Follies
Editor’s Comment: The picture accompanying this article is horrific but it shows better than words the results of Bush’s war. General Sherman said that war was hell and the optimistic lies of the Pentagon’s Goebbels Brigade have done nothing to change Sherman’s assessment. It is time to bring this criminal and mindless carnage to a quick and permanent end.
“ As I said in my last posting to you, I have boxes full of really terrible reports and even worse color photographs. Possession of these, let alone any attempt to bring them into general circulation is considered a serious Court Martial offense here inside CENTCOM’s headquarters.
I would like to report that our dead are treated with respect but the conditions here are rather primitive (although those who die in Germany or at Reed fare better) and very often dead military personnel are in an advanced state of putrefaction when they are coffined and shipped back to Dover. In a number of cases I am personally aware of, various body parts were just dumped into a coffin that was then sealed shut and purported to be the remains of a specific individual. Stateside morticians are notified by the DoD not to open many of these coffins but in one case, a family insisted on the funeral home doing so to permit the inclusion of family mementos with the deceased. It became apparent at once that there were a number of body parts, obviously from different people, and all in an advanced state of decomposition and since most people have two legs, the inclusion of four legs, two partial, shattered and totally unrecognizable, heads and three arms obviously did not belong to one person. The family, according to my copy of a report from the Pentagon, trying to avoid similar such “unpleasant” events in the future, received a rubber-stamped letter from some military officer in DC but addressed to the wrong mourning family and the name was misspelled!
It should be considered that it is very hot here in Iraq and unless a corpse is refrigerated at once, it begins to decay within a half an hour. Although the personal effects of the dead, including cameras, cell phones and other electronic devices, are supposed to be returned to the families, this very often is not the case and the loot is parceled out among others who never leave the security of this place.
On the other side of the coin, I have to say that medical treatment of the wounded is first class and if they cannot take proper care of an injured soldier locally, he is flown out immediately to a base hospital in Germany (which has received most of the over 20,000 seriously wounded over a three-year period) or if the injuries require long rehabilitation, to Walter Reed or San Antonio in the States On the other hand, the kindly DoD is billing these crippled warriors for lost equipment, vanished when their faces or legs were blown off in the service of the President and the DoD. “
